When YVR Cookie Co came to us at Markayting, they brought with them a compelling motto: "Life Is Short, Eat A Cookie." Their aim wasn't merely to sell cookies; they sought to offer moments of joy, indulgence, and culinary delight. Our task? To capture that experience through visually captivating product photography, narrating the delicious tale of their cookies in each image.

Our project with YVR Cookie focused on elevating their brand through styled content shoots, aiming to capture the essence and indulgence of their gourmet cookies. We meticulously planned and executed a series of photography sessions, creating visually stunning content that showcases the unique flavors and quality of YVR Cookie's products. This content is designed to engage and entice their audience across various digital platforms, enhancing the brand's visual identity and online presence.

Project Overview


The challenge was as tempting as it was daunting - how do you capture the essence of something as universally loved as a cookie in a unique and compelling way? We needed to go beyond standard product shots. These images had to evoke emotion, trigger senses, and most importantly, end the era of “sad cookies.”

The Challenge

Our Approach:

  • Each cookie from YVR Cookie Co is a masterpiece stuffed with goodness. We focused on close-ups that highlighted the textures, the oozing fillings, and the perfect golden-brown finish.

  • We wanted each image to tell a story – a bite missed, a moment of indulgence, a guilty pleasure. Using warm, inviting lighting and real-life settings, we aimed to make each photo a sensory experience.

  • Every shot was designed to align with YVR Cookie Co's brand identity – fun, indulgent, and high-quality. We ensured that the styling, backgrounds, and props complemented their brand palette and ethos.

  • The final images were a feast for the eyes. They did more than just display the product; they invited the viewer into the world of YVR Cookie Co. The photos were used across various platforms, from social media to the client's website, increasing engagement and, more importantly, sales. The visuals not only captured the cookies' appeal but also told the story of why life is indeed too short for sad cookies.

  • Oh, and in case you're wondering – yes, I did get to try the cookies. And let me tell you, they are every bit as scrumptious as they look. It was a project that delighted not just our creative senses but our taste buds too! And yes, I might have saved a few for later – some perks of the job are just too sweet to pass up!
